Made A New Flower Bed April 2012

I decided to make a new flower Bed at the bottom of the Garden to transplant some crowded plants

The Bearded Iris are in bloom, pity about Benji's hole that is getting bigger and bigger I might just fill it in one day!

The garden is really coming along now don't you think?

Next door neighbours are laying down concrete so I got in Quick and claimed two plants

My two new addictions claimed from next doors garden a Rose Bush and a Hydrangea.

  1. That is looking lovely Chrissie. You are certainly making a good hobby of that! But leave Beji's hole, after all he only has the one, and you can always turn it into an interesting water feature should he ever stop digging.
My garden now looks like it has been hit by metoerite rocks ( without the rocks) since we have had Daisy, who has dug holes everywhere. The last being a huge one 50 cm deep at the root of one of my roses near the neighbouring wall! No idea where all the earth went, well distributed all over, it seem. I took advantage, added compost and raked back what I could. Next day it was all out again, so I just filled the hole with fallen leaves (autumn here)

  3. Chrissie I am so amazed at what you have done with your garden ... it is absolutely picture perfect -- you could have it featured in Better Homes and Gardens. You should be so proud of yourself -- what a fantastic job! Keep Benji's hole for a bit longer -- it is his contribution after all, lol and I love Daphne's idea of turning it into an interesting water feature one day. Thanks for sharing and I will publish a link in this week's Global Express which in all likelihood will be a day or so late. Have a wonderful weekend and keep rescuing those neglected neighbourhood plants; imagine a rose bush and a hydrangea of all plants -- very special! Sharon
